DALAMAN RIVER
Archaically named Indos, Dalaman River has its source within Kocaş Mountain located nearby Dirmil. It runs into the sea some 8 km south of Ortaca after its cource through a narrow and deep valley where two of its branches one coming from Göktepe and the other from Yaylacık Mountains being part of the Western Taurus Mountains merge together. Its total length is : 229 km. It takes place between the rivers that gather the biggest amount of tourists as far as rafting is concerned.

Dalaman River situated within Muğla city borders amongst Köyceğiz and Dalaman is offering you R2 (difficulty rate : 3+) and R3 (difficulty rate : 3-4+) level course services. The river increases the adrenaline of the participants to the rafting activity through its rapid and exciting course track.

On Bitez Beach, near Bodrum, Turkey. Rush Windsurfing is a long established school and board hire that suits both beginners and experts.

If you're looking for a high wind blasting location with warm waters, mild chop and hot sunny days, then Bitez is ideal for you.
If you want to learn windsurfing in a safe, sheltered bay with gentle winds then Bitez is ideal for you too!

This is possible because here we have gentle breezes for the learners in the mornings, followed by wild winds for the experts in the afternoons. Non and apres-surfers will find plenty to do. This is no barren wasteland. Bitez is a relatively quiet holiday beach with the wild nightlife of Bodrum and Gümbet only a few minutes away.

Bitez recently became a self governing local council (Belediye) and the new council swiftly brought in a wide range of positive improvements to the area. If you've been here before you'll be amazed at the changes. Larger scale works include the recently constructed Bodrum International Airport and it's access via a new dual carriageway road from Bodrum and Bitez.

The weather.
The season runs from late May to Early November with the strongest winds being in June through September. Look here for the latest Bitez Bay wind statistics. Temperatures are hot all times, except during the night during the first few weeks at the beginning and end of the season. The sea is warm throughout. Surfers tend to sail in shorts or shorty suits. Forget that steamer or long john. Here's the most recent weather.

The boards
Take your pick from a wide selection of Mistral, Fanatic and F2.
All the sizes you'd expect from 263 to 325 for the short board sailors, and long boards from 330 all the way up for beginners and course racers.

The man
Running the school for over 10 years now, is Rush himself. That's also him up at the top of the page getting a little air out in the bay.
He's a qualified RYA (Royal Yachting Association) instructor with an excellent command of English and an incredibly patient instructing technique.
There's also an uncanny resemblance to a certain Robby if the light is just right.
That's his rescue boat in the background, so you won't have to fear being left to swim home.
In the winter he's a ski patroller in Bolu, one of Turkeys many ski resorts.

The sails
Nearly all are by Naish - Hawaii. Even the beginners ones! You'll probably only ever need two sizes because the winds here are so regular and free from gusts. A 5.5 and a 6.5 should do for most days, with maybe a 5.0 for the occasionally wild ones.
There are trainer sails for those who need them. You can also bring your favourite sail and Rush will find a mast and boom for you.

Accommodation High season is August and things get busy then. Otherwise you can find everything from 5 star hotels (with 5 star prices) down to camp sites, all on the beach. Rush can always help you find something. Or Norman Rouxel - the author of this page. I have two adjacent houses in Bitez. One sleeps 6 and the other suits a couple.

Diving Education
The dream of diving the unforgettable underwater world does no longer have to be a dream. Scuba diving is easier than you may think and with the proper training it is easy to learn this fascinating sport within a short time.

At Kaş Diving scuba diving courses follow the standards of PADI, the world's largest scuba diving association (if required courses can also be conducted in accordance with CMAS) in English, German or Turkish language. All our dive courses are run in small groups in a relaxed atmosphere. Even though safety is crucial to us, fun and adventure should not come short during your diver training. Discover Scuba Diving

PADI OWD incl. Enriched Air Diver Speciality
During your Open Water Diver course, you will learn all skills required for safe and enjoyable scuba diving under the competent guidance of our instructors. The course consists of the following three parts :

5 modules knowledge development
5 pool or confined water training sessions
4 open water dives

The knowledge development is based on 5 theory modules, thoroughly explained in your Open Water Diver Manual. The knowledge development lessons start with watching the video for each module. Thereafter, your instructor reviews the topics with you and a quick quiz at the end of each module assures that you understood everything you need to know. After you have been through all 5 modules, you will easily finalize the knowledge development with a final exam.

The confined water training takes place either in the swimming pool of the hotel above the dive center or in a sheltered bay. Here you learn how to handle your dive equipment, experience your first breath underwater and practice all the skills required for safe and enviable scuba diving.

During the open water ocean dives you will apply the skills learnt in the confined water and you will adapt step-by-step to the underwater world. Having finalized the open water training, you earn your PADI Open Water Diver Certificate. The Open Water Diver certification is accepted at any dive spot worldwide and discerns you as a scuba diver who has a full understanding and good practice of the basic knowledge and skills in order to be able to dive in a safe manner.

Subsequently we immediately start with the "Enriched Air Diver" course. An additional short theoretical training and two open water dives are necessary.

The minimum age for the beginner course is 10 years and for the beginner plus - "Enriched Air Diver" course, 15 years. The Padi Open Water Diver Course takes 4 - 5 days, the "Enriched Air Diver" Course an additionally one to two days.

PADI AOWD incl. Enriched Air Diver Speciality
For those of you who would like to further their diving skill beyond that of an entry-level diver and who look for interesting and challenging dive adventures, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is an important step in your dive training.

This course is composed of 5 adventure dives in various specialty areas such as Night Diving, Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation, Wreck Diving etc. The focus of this course is the practical application of the relevant skills with some additional knowledge development.

Divers, who participate the PADI AOWD incl. the special "Enriched Air Diver (NITROX)" course can combine their AOWD training dives using enriched air with adventure dives. This exception is possible, as training dives with enriched air do not require any special water skills.

The divers meet the requirements for diving with enriched air on land, then complete their adventure dive and fulfill the requirements under water using enriched air instead of compressed air and thus receive a credit for the special "Enriched Air Diver" course and at the same time for the "Adventures in Diving" Program, too.

1.Dive: Duchess of York. About the Wreck: It starts in 40 m. It is a old coal barge ap. 100 m long,from 1893. Follow Breakfast on Board

2.Dive: Panorama Reef. The Reef start in 25m depth, with mostly little current. Lunch on the beach from Kaputaş. Here we have the Possibility to visit a Blue cavern by snorkeling.

3.Dive: Explorer/Reef by Heybeli Ada. A abundant overgrown Reef,ideal for the third dive. At night Barbecue on Board .

2.Day: Early Morning dive ap. 7:00 clock

4.Dive: Perfect Wall. Breathtaking vertical wall from 5-60 m over hangs. The wall is complete covered with corals, different kinds of Anemone in different colours. We have here the possibility for a drift dive. Lamp is very usefull. Follow Breakfast buffet on Board.

5.Dive: Boje. The Boje is the best place to have a relaxed dive. Because of the location in the middle of the sea, there is a lot of fish. Back in Kaş aprox. 18:00 pm.

We welcome anyone over the age of 8 to dive with us. To attend our diving courses, though, the minimum age is 10. We organize two dives a day by boat for certified divers. The boat leaves at 09:30 and returns around 12:00 hrs. We then set off again at 15:00 hrs for the afternoon dive and we are back in Kas around 18:00 hrs. Non-divers and snorkellers are also welcome to join us on board. Every week we arrange least one full-day trip, starting at 09:30. After the morning dive we eat on board. Lunch is followed by a swimming and snorkeling break. We then do a second dive and return around 18:00 hrs.

Every day we offer discovery dives at the beach on demand. The maximum depth is 5 meters and duration is 20 minutes. All you have to do is breathe and watch the view underwater.

Discover Scuba Diving (1 Day)
After a short theory session and one pool training module (confined water dive) you dive down to 12 meters. With this temporary certificate you can dive for 14 days with a Padi Instructor or Dive Master.

Junior Open Water Diver (4-5 Days)
The minimum age for this course is 10 years. The course consists of 5 theory sessions, 5 pool training modules (confined water dives) and 4 open water dives down to 12 meters.

Open Water Diver (4-5 Days)
The minimum age for the OWD course is 15 years. The course consists of 5 theory sessions, 5 pool training units, 2 open water dives down to 12 meters and 2 dives to 18 m.

Advanced Open Water Diver (2 Days)
During this course you do one U/W Navigation dive, one deep dive down to 30 meters and 3 dives which you can choose for your interest and needs. (night dive, naturalist, peak performance buoyancy etc.)!

Emergency First Response (1 Day)
A course designed for everybody, to help others in case of emergency!

Rescue Diver Course (2-3 Days)
The Rescue Diver course consists of 12 pool, open water and theory sessions.

Divemaster (min. 6 Days)
This course represents a step into professionalism in diving business with a wide variety of academic and practical applications.

CMAS / DTSA - Basic-Diver (1 Day)
The minimum age for this course is 12 years. Prerequisite is a completed pool education.

The course consists two Dives.

CMAS * (4-5 Days)
Minimum age for this course is 14 years. After the course you will be able do handle your own equipment and to join dives which are guided by an experienced diver.

CMAS **
(5-6 Days). Minimum Age to join the course is 16 years. In this course you will learn how to organize and guide dives by yourself. Goal of the course is to plan and carry on safe dives with divers at your level.

CMAS *** (min. 6 Days). Min. age 18 years. During this course you learn how to organize and guide dives under complex conditions and diving with beginners.

VDST /Specialities
- Navigation (prerequisite for CMAS**) Includes 3 theory lessons and 4 dives
- Group leadership (prerequisite for CMAS**) Includes 4 theory lessons and 4 dives
- Safety and Rescue Course (prerequisite for CMAS***) Includes 4 theory lessons and 6 practical parts

Junior CMAS*
Minimum age for the course is 8 years. This course includes a detailed instruction into scuba diving, snorkeling exercises and 4 Dives (pool and/or open water). Each of the dives will be previewed detailed and so the theoretical sessions are combined with the practical applications. Maximum depth is 5m.

Junior CMAS** / ***
Minimum age for Junior** is 10 years, for Junior*** 12 years. The courses content each 4-5 theory lessons and 6 dives. The maximum depth is, depending on the age, 8 - 12m

Assistant Instructor
This training is required as qualification to become an instructor. Pre requites for the course is CMAS***, min. 80 logged dives (30 of these dives in the sea). The training takes min. 4 weeks.

Every participant receives a logbook from the dive center. Original videos and manuals are used in our courses.

DIVE SPOT
Almost everywhere there is a dive spot in Kaş. There are many hot spots both for experienced divers and beginners. The Underwater world of Kaş is very nice for taking photos or making video films.

Flying Fish Reef / 30 Min. : Top at 5 m. going down to 40 m. Full of groupers, amberjack, many moray eels and lots of other small fish. Good for experienced divers

Assi Island 1 / 30 Min. : A small island with big ancient pots at 40 m. and many fish to see. Both for experienced and inexperienced divers.

Assi Island 2 / 30 Min. : Fascinating underwater world with many cracks and rocks accompanied with big groupers and jacks and even turtles! Inexperienced divers can circle around the island.

Canyon Wreck / 30 Min. : Steel Greek ship wreck at 30-35 m. Beautiful place. Wreck is good for experienced divers and there are also other spots at different directions for inexperienced divers

Lobster Point / 30 Min. : Rocky edges with light and shadows dances. Many well preserved ancient artifacts. and old anchors. This spot offers dives for all.

Gürmenli Ada : 5-35 m. Wall diving, not many fish, but beautiful view and wall. Sandy beach at 30 m. Good for all divers.

Fener Kulesi / 10 Min. : 150 years old wooden Ottoman boat wreck, some ancient pots to see. Octopus and a big grouper are always there waiting for experienced and inexperienced divers.

Çapa Banko / 30 Min : Nice coastline, nice place for a relaxed afternoon dive. Barracudas are always here. Every diver will enjoy this place.

Likya Wreck / 15 Min. : wooden boat wreck sunk in 1996, 15 m. long, at 27 m. and a nice coastline with sharp walls and many cavities. For everyone!

Chicken Beach / 20 Min. : Open your eyes and you will see many small details! Especially for beginners, but also the experienced divers will be delighted.

They take place amongst the peaks of the undulating Taurus Mountains known to be the Mid-and Southern Taurus Mountains. Constituting the peak of the Mid-Taurus Mountains, Aladağlar are situated within Kayseri, Niğde and Adana city borders.

Stretching out on SW / NE direction and extending on ca. 50 km length, they cover a surface area extending on 25-30 km. Demirkazık peak with 3756 m. on the North, Kızılkaya with 3725 m. in the Middle, Kaldı peak with 3688 m. in the South and Vayvay Hill with 3565 m. zenith on the East constitute the top parts of these mountains. The region taking place within Adana city borders on South-East Aladağlar Mountains is known as Turasan or "Turhasan" Mountains.

ARARATTREK MOUNT ARARAT EXPEDITION

Ararat, Turkish Ağrı Dağı, name of two mountains, Little Ararat (12,877 ft/3,925 m) and Great Ararat (16,945 ft / 5,165 m), E Turkey, near the Iranian and Armenian borders. The tradition that Mt. Ararat is the resting place of Noah's ark is based on a misreading of Gen. 8.4, which properly reads "upon the mountains of Ararat," indicating a country or region. The land or the kingdom of Ararat (fl. c.9th - 7th century B.C.), called in Assyrian Urartu, was situated between the river Aras and the lakes Van and Rezaiyeh.

Noah's Ark
In 1959, during a NATO aerial photographic mission, a Turkish Army captain photographed an unusual "boat-shaped" object located 12 miles south of Mt. Ararat. It appeared to be the approximate size of the biblical ark. Some of these pictures, along with an article on the subject, were published in the September 1960 issue of Life magazine. After studying these photos photogrammetry expert Dr. Arthur Brandenburger stated; "I have no doubt at all that this object is a ship. In my entire career I have never seen an object like this on a stereo photo."

In 1960 an expedition from the USA explored the boat-shaped objected but after several days of visual inspection they found nothing of interest. 17 years later, in 1977, Ron Wyatt made his first trip to this area to specifically look for this formation.

During that trip he and his two sons not only found the boat-shaped formation but also several huge drogue-style anchor stones that they believed were associated with Noah's Ark. These stones appeared to be aligned along the path the Ark might have taken as it came to rest inthis part of eastern Turkey. On several of these stones he found iconographic inscriptions which seemed to represent the 8 survivors of Noah's flood.

After this initial investigation, the next year an earthquake in the region caused the earth to drop away from the formation exposing rib timbers and deck support timbers along the sides. Ron was able to take samples of what appeared to be petrified wood and the soil around it. On analysis the samples were found to contain a higher than normal level of organic carbon indicated that this was indeed once awooden object.

In the 1980's, with the cooperation of the Turkish government, Ron and his team were able to do several metal detection surveys which revealed that the timbers were held together with metal rivets and plates. Ground penetrating radar (GPR) scans of the formation revealed a huge man-made structure beneath the surface of the formation which included keels, decks, bulk-heads and all the other parts of an ancient boat.

It was during one of these scans that Ron located just below the surface what ended up to be a large piece of a petrified deck timber. On examination it was seen that it was laminated, that is, it was made up of three separate layers of wood.

In 1985 Ron's work on Noah's Ark was featured on the ABC national television program 20/20.

On June 20, 1987, after a review of the data and artifacts recovered, the Turkish government announced to the world the discovery of the remains of Noah's Ark based on 10 years of intensive research by Ron Wyatt of Nashville, TN. They commissioned the building of a visitors center overlooking the remains and set the immediate area aside as a national park.

Since that time, a number of other artifacts have been found, by Ron and various others who have worked at the site. These include numerous samples of petrified wood and embedded metal plates containing rivets.

In total 13 anchor stones have been found. Each is approximately the same size although some of them have been broken over the years. Each has the very distinctive rope hole at the top. Most have crosses carved on them although 2 of the stones have been found with no inscriptions whatsoever.

In 1998, while surveying the site with other scientists, Dr. William Shea of the Biblical Research Institute found a pottery shard about 10 meters from the western side of the formation. On one side is painted the picture of a man releasing two birds. On the other side is etched a picture of a man with a hammer in his hand driving a spike or nail into something. The man is wearing some type of a headdress. Across the front of the headdress the name "Noah" is written in Proto-Siniatic text. This is the first piece of hard evidence that directly ties any potential ark site to the biblical character Noah.

Since Ron's death in August 1999, several of his associates have continued his work. A number of other objects and inscriptions have been recently found that are believed to be associated with the ark. These are currently being analyzed. In 2003 the Turkish visitor's center at the site was turned into an on-site museum.

TRIP ITINERARY
DAY 1:
Arrive in Van Airport meet you there and start our expedition transfer by minivan to Doğubayazıt town via Muradiye waterfalls and volcano Mountain Tendürek to enjoy the view. C/in to our hotel transfer to Ishakpaşa Palace to have a dinner there to see the sunset. Chat about the expedition.(D)
DAY 2:
After breakfast Permits and gear check, transfer to Eli village 2200 mt. by truck. This trip takes 2 hours. Then continue by mules we will start trekking to first camp site at 3200m. Average 5 hours. (If you want you can rent a mule for yourself also).Over night in Camp. (B/L/D)
DAY 3:
After having breakfast and packing up, we start to climb 4200meters, the height of which will be our last camp area. We arrive in the camp area and have lunch. We spend the rest of the day by resting and listening to our guide about the important climbing route. We go to bed early tonight in order to be ready for the hard climbing that will take place tomorrow. (B/L/D)
DAY 4:
Summit day. We will wake up at 2:30 and after breakfast we will start for the summit bid with the sunrise. We will be accompanied by a fascinating view of the landscape through our climbing (if the weather is sunny). It will take 6 hours to the summit. Return to camp at 4200 m and rest. We load our baggage to mules and go down to 2200 meters, Transfer to hotel by truck. (B/L)
DAY 5:
Spare day in case of bad weather, if weather is okay we will use this day for to visit Doğubayazıt sites (Noah's Ark, Hot springs, Meteor crater, etc.). (B/L)
DAY 6:
Transfer to Van Airport after the breakfast for the departure. Say good bye, see you in the other expeditions. (B)

ARARATTREK KAÇKAR MOUNTAINS EXPEDITION

Kaçkarlar is in east Black Sea Mountain Series. The peak of the Kaзkar mountain is 3937 metres (12,933 feet) You can see many tones of green from the Black Sea shore to the mountains in Rize. There is a Trans Kaçkar route from Artvin to Rize for trekkers. You will see wonderful crater lakes and flowers in the area. The Kaçkar is similar to the Swiss Alps, with meadows of stunning flowers and wooden chalets. At the top of Mount Kaçkar, you will be rewarded with the most stunning views of hundreds of snow-capped peaks and crater lakes.

In the rainy and lush landscapes of northeastern Turkey, the Kaçkar mountains form the northern section of the Anatolian mountain chain. The Kaçkar-Kavron summit, at an altitude of 3937 meters, (12,933 feet), is the highest point in the range. Extensive glacier and water erosion have given these mountains their craggy, rugged look, and they are known for the complexity and power of the streams and rivers which rush down to the lower altitudes. In fact, this range is the third most important glacial region in Turkey following the Ağrı (Ararat) and Cilo-Sat mountains. The geological and mountaineering aspects of the Kaзkars contribute to their importance in Turkey's economy and tourism.

The region enjoys an almost subtropical climate of temperate yet rainy weather with an average temperature of 14 C. The lowest temperature, 7 C., fall in the month of January while August sees the hottest days reaching a maximum recorded temperature of 22.6 C.

The Kaçkars rise in between the shores of the Black Sea to the north and the River Çoruh valley to the south. On the northern flank, a good variety of vegetation flourishes in the rainy climate. Up to 500 meters above sea level, tea plantations and citrus orchards cover the hillsides. Chestnut, hornbeam, beech and other large-leafed trees forest the slopes to 750 meters. Between 750-1500 meters of elevation, pines mix in with the large leafed trees forest the slopes to 750 meters. Between 750-1500 meters of elevation, pines mix in with the large leafed trees until gradually they remain the only species of tree from 1500-2000 meters. Alpine meadows and other grassy vegetation covers the ground above 2100 meters. On the southern faces of the Kaçkars, which receive strong sunshine and less precipitation, the agriculture is based on the cultivation of fruits and vines. As on the north side in the higher elevations, meadows of wild flowers and grass blanket the slopes up to 2300 meters.

After breakfast gear check, transfer to Yaylalar village by minivan. Loading the backpacks to mules, we will start trekking to Olgunlar Village our first camp. Overnight in camp. (B/L/D).
DAY 3:
After having breakfast and packing up, we start to Trekking to the Dilberdüzü base camp 2900m. Overnight in camp. (B/L/D).
DAY 4:
Optional climb to Kaçkar summit. (3917m) 5-6 hrs. we will have to walk on snow for short distances. It is a good day for daily treks around for those who would choose not to summit. Camp at Dilberdüzü same as yesterday. Overnight in Camp. (B/L/D).
DAY 5:
After breakfast packing up and trekking from Dilberdüzü to Dobedüzü nice and high trek with beautiful views of the lakes and streams around. Camp at Dobedüzü. (B/L/D).
DAY 6:
After having breakfast and packing up, trekking down to the Yaylalar Village and transfer by minivan to Barhal (Altıparmak) Village and rest at the pension. (B/L/D).
DAY 7:
Visit Barhal Church in the morning transfer to Erzurum Airport for departure on the way visit of Oshk Venk Church. Say good bye, see you in the other expeditions. (B)

BARAKUDA KALKAN DIVE CENTER

Barakuda Dive Center, which is directly attached to the Hotel Pirat, lies approx. 20 m. from the sea. A house reef of the basis is outstanding suitable for beginner trainings and night dives. Over few stairway steps you can arrive to the hotel pool, which is used for pool training and the first dive trials. The shady pool terrace with wonderful view on the sea offers opportunity at the end of a fascinating diving to the cosy gathering and exchange of experience.

Our basis is characterized by a personal atmosphere and individuality - therefore our team is always endeavored to deal with all desires of our guests. Since the diving equipment remains for the entire time of the booked dive on the diving boat, we save the uncomfortable carrying of the equipment to our guests!

Beside the main office we have a compressor area with two new compressors (260 and 190 liters/min.). The basis is equipped with comprehensive first aid equipment. A small workshop with spare parts depot is likewise present.

We have more than 25 new complete equipment, 70 aluminum tanks (12 lt.) with DIN connections (INT adapters available), as well as 4 small 4 lt - steel tanks for pool and children training.

Our Boat BARAKUDA-1
We start our diving boat twice per day to one of the more than 25 diving locations, which promise both for beginners and for professionals maximum diving fun.

14 m. long and 4.5 m wide wood boat is reequipped particularly for diving purposes and offers comfortably place for 25 divers. We reach the diving locations between 10 to 40 min. with the help of 240PS Volvo Diesels.

This approximately 3-hours program covers a Video introduction about scuba diving, a pool diving exercise and a great boat dive in a maximum depth of 12 meters.

Beginner Course - Open Water Diver
During the training of Open Water Diver Course you learn in competent company the basic skills of the diving sport, and the controlled and surely diving. The course consists of three parts:
5 modules theory training
5 modules swimming pool and /or shallow water training
4 open water dives
The theory training is based on 5 course modules. The theory hours begin always with a video instruction. Afterwards the material is again deepened together with the diving teacher and examined in a small Quiz. After all 5 course modules, diver takes a written final test. The training of the PADI Open Water takes approximately 4-5 days.

The swimming pool training takes place in the hotel pool directly over the diving basis or in the limited open water. The diver learns how to deal with his diving equipment and makes first experiences under water. At the center of attention of these exercises are the security of diving and learning fundamental diving talents.

In the open water the divers practice their abilities in the sea, which they learned in the swimming pool, and advance step for step to the underwater world. With the successful conclusion of the free water training the diver will try to achieve PADI Open Water Diver Brevet.

The minimum age for this beginner course amounts to 10 years. We have special diving equipment for children, so that the children can experience the fascination of diving.

Advanced Open Water Diver
For all those, which would like to develop their diving talents further. This course represents an important step in diving training

This course contains 5 dives in various special fields, e.g. night diving, deep diving, underwater navigation, wreck diving etc. The theory training is reduced to a minimum, so that practice and diver driving are the center of attention.

Medic First Aid
Medic First Aid (Emergency First Response) gives you the skills you need to perform CPR and First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response helps you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations. This comprehensive program contains two core modules that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen sections. This course is usually conducted over one day.

Rescue Diver
This three day course is a very important step in expanding knowledge and experience. As with all PADI courses, it is performance based and involves classroom, confined water and beach skill development sessions followed by five open water training sessions. Self-rescue and diver stress, diving first aid, emergency management, equipment considerations, tired diver, panicked diver, response from shore or boat with both a conscious and unconscious victim, distressed diver, surfacing an unconscious diver, unconscious diver at the surface, egress with an unconscious diver, first aid for pressure related injuries, underwater search scenario, response, egress and management scenarios.

Dive Master
This course includes academic knowledge development. Watermanship and stamina are evaluated together with diving skills, which will be developed to demonstration quality. You will complete a rescue evaluation and underwater mapping exercises as well as demonstrating your skills in dive planning and leadership. You will also function as an instructional assistant, both in confined and open water. Completion of this course qualifies you to attend a PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and eventual certification as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Savaş Yapman, the founder and the owner of the diving center, has CMAS 3 Star Instructor, Padi Idc Staf Instructor, Emergency First Response Instructor certificates. In addition to these, he also has different expertises concerning 10 different branches.

BOAT
In our boat, named DERIN, we have complete scuba equipment for 30 divers, 70 scuba tube, 2 compressors, emergency boat, radio, bottom radar, oxygen set, first aid kit, kitchen, WC, changing cabins, sideboard, sunbathing deck and diving platform.

SAROS DIVING POINTS
Üç Adalar - Toplar Burnu - Asker Taşı - Minnoş Island - Minnoş Reef - Kömür Harbour - Bebek Rocs - Büyük Kemikli Burnu - Küçük Kemikli Burnu - Kiremitlik - Tünel. In all of these diving points you will enjoy wall diving also...

Saros Gulf is placed in the north edge of Aegean Sea, east side of Greece and Turkey. In ancient times, Saros gulf was known as Xeros and Melas. The underwater structure of Saros Gulf was defined as a "Unique Place" by J.J COUSTEU " In the starting point of the Gulf, Eceabat, there battleship sunks from Çanakkale Wars.

SAROS WRECKS

LUNDY
Lundy is a mine ship, which was sunked during 1. World War Canakkale Sea Battles. It is a 188 gross ton ship, made in England, 1908. In deep, the ship preserves its spectacle. The propeller is still on the ship. During the bombard the captain cabin was damaged. Bottom depth is 28 meters and the captain's cabin is in 18 meters.

WATER TREATMENT SHIP
It is a very close sunk to the coast in Suvla Bay. During the war, the ship used to produce drinking water for the soldiers. Maximum depth is 18 meters. It is possible dive for each level diver. A serious part of the boat is under sand. But you could explore the treatment facilities and the deck. Even non-divers could watch the sunk from surface by a mask. During diving, you could see different kinds of fish species.

ENGLISH and ANZAK LIFEBOATS
The lifeboats was sunked during landing. Some of the lifeboats could be seen in 3-4 meters. In 42 meters at Arıburnu and in 27 meters in Savla Gulf, there are two more wrecks. There are peonnies and purple sponges all over the boats.

MESUDIYE WRECK
It was the oldest ship of the Ottoman Emperior. The ship was 1903 made, 9.190 ton weighted, has 102 meters length and 18 meters width. Mesudiye was sunked by a B-11 submarine. It is now serving as a sweet home for lots of underwater creatures. She is laying in 15 meters depth.

MAJESTIC
It was 1895 made, the oldest ship of England. There is a rumour saying that Churchill was managed the war from this ship. She was sunked by a U-21 German submarine. The ship was 14.900 ton weighted and has 119 meters length, laying near of Settьlbahir. It could be seen in 15 meters. She has a marvellous underwater fauna on her surface.

DIVE COURSES
Kadıköy Sualtı Merkezi is giving instruction and education under CMAS and PADI systems.
Under modern conditions, the education continues about 12 hours, supporting by computers, projections and videos.
Each lessons will be explained by different instructors and you will be prepared for your first practices in swimming pool.
Your intstruction books, which will be given after courses, will be your guide during your studies.
You will be a new guest of the Blue World, since you have finished each underwater course with succes.

SCUBA DIVER COURSE 2 DAYS

After try a dive and Discover dive program if you decided to be a certified dive, you may have this program and dive to max.15m.with instructor.

OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE (*) 4 DAYS

When you finish this course, you will be able to dive with your dive buddy in the assistance of a guide all around the world. If you joined our previous programs, you have a credit from past.

ADVENTURE DIVER COURSE 2 DAYS
If you want to be experienced, you may choose 3 different categories among 8 up to your interests.

ADVENCED OPEN WATER DIVER COUSE (**) 2 DAYS
Max.Depth : 30 m . (Min.Age 12-14 J, max. 21m)
You should have Open Water Diver (*) certificate to start this course. Your Limits automatic upgrade to 30 m, which is also sportive diving limit. Deep dive and navigation dive is compulsory.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE COURSE (1 DAY)
You don't have to be a diver to get this program. Never forget "Medic First Aid Saves a Life". Just one day enough.

RESCUE DIVER COURSE (5 DAYS)
(Min. Age : 15 J)
Prerequisite is Advanced Open Water Diver and Medic First Aid. In this course, you learn to handle a rescue operation both above and under water with theory and additional scenarios.

MASTER SCUBA DIVER COURSE (10 DAYS)
Rescue diver certification is needed. This is the last step of amateur diving. It is possible to have 5 different specialties.

FIRST LEVEL COURSES (PADI SCUBA DIVER)
Get your certificate in only 2 days! At the end of the program, you are free to explore the big blue with your instructor. Hurry, your international certificate is waiting for you.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER or CMAS 1*
In a friendly and professional atmosphere, we introduce you to the underwater world. In about 4 days, you can be a certified diver. Normally the course takes four days but for success criteria is based on performance not time; it may take a little longer. After the completion of the course an internationally recognized certificate, logbook and unforgettable memories are waiting for you.

PADI ADVENTURE DIVER COURSE
Takes one day and 3 dives. You will have 3 specialty dives that you will select from deep dive, underwater photography, boat dive, underwater specialist, night dive, S & R dive, cavern dive, drift dive, underwater navigation dive. Get your internationally recognized certificate in one day.

ADVANCED COURSES (PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER or CMAS 2*)
If you have PADI OPEN WATER or equivalent certification you can now take advanced courses in which you can improve your diving skills. It includes 2 core dives (deep dive and underwater navigation dive) and 3 selective dives (multi-level dive, search and recovery dive, boat dive, underwater naturalist dive, cavern dive, drift dive, peak performance buoyancy). Depending on your progress and work, you may take your international certificate in 2 days.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE
You never know when you might need it. Necessary for everyone. To become a PADI RESCUE DIVER, this certificate is required. It takes 5-6 hours of academic training with video and Annie baby. lt does not consist of diving.

PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE
After having PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER and MEDIC FIRST AID COURSE you can join this program. It takes minimum 2 days. You will be equipped with all the skills on rescue in water. This is a new experience for you.

PADI DIVE MASTER, CMAS 3* COURSE
The way of becoming a professional member in PADI family. At the end of this course you will evaluate your career choices again as you can now launch a new one as a 'diving instructor'. Broadening your horizon, and creating yourself an alternative career option is in your hands.

ALL COURSES INCLUDE INSURANCE, FULL DIVING EQUIPMENT, AND PRINTED MATERIAL IN YOUR LANGUAGE.

DIVE POINTS
We have more than 15 dive points around Bodrum with typical Aegean and Mediterranean flora and fauna. Shallow water diving points offer dives without currents but full of fish for first timers, while some deeper points have small currents for experienced divers. There are two reefs with depths ranging from 7 to 40 meters. They are full of fish with good chances for photography. There are two caverns one at 12 meters, a bubble cavern. Other one is at 6 meters with air in it, walls reflecting different shades of deep blue. Drop-offs allows you to discover something different.

At times visibility reaches up to 40 meters meaning that you are now diving in crystal clear waters, literally! Rock formations in the dive points offer shelter for groupers, octopuses, learfish, barracudas and other different creatures. You also may see amphoras and antique anchors which are more than 2000 years old.

Big reef
20 minutes by boat. Depth to the south is 32 meters and to the north 36. Groupers, barracudas, learfish and octopuses are the head actors of the reef. You may even come across a caretta turtle if you are lucky.

Small reef
200 meters from the high reef towards Bodrum, sharing the same habitat with the high reef. Both reefs are waiting for you to show how endless blue looks like.

Poyraz Cavern
Not a cave but a cavern... Entrance is at 6 meters and there is air in it. We call this the Seal Cavern as we have seen seal in the area on occasion.

Bubble Cave
Bubble Cave in Karaada have its' entrance at 12 meters and its' ceiling is at 6. The air bubbles you produce escapes from the holes in the ceiling producing amazing scenery. You'll love this one...

Kargı Island
500 meters from the tip of Akyarlar, one of the closest points to the Greek Islands. Diving point at the Gцkova side of the island starts at 20 meters and with a gentle slope goes down to 36. One must pay attention to the surface and deep currents towards Cos.

Köçek Island
Dive points at this rocky island, about a nautical mile from Bodrum, has depth of 10 meters at the side towards land, and 20 - 22 meters at side towards Greek Islands. At the Gökova side of the island depth reaches up to 34 - 36 meters. There are abundance of amphorae remains, and a lot of fish, mostly blackeyed bream.

Kaçakçı Bay
This bay at the Aegean side of Karaada is adviced as a training site for experienced divers.

Yassıkaya Island
This is a rocky island suitable for diving. It is located 500 meters from Karaada to the direction of Gökova. In the area there are a lot of sea creatures including octopussy.

Orak Island
Located in the Gökova Bay, it takes about 1,5 hours to reach this island with boat. It is the furthermost dive point in Bodrum area. Even though there are not a lot of fish to see, the sea bottom is topographically interesting. At both sides of the island depth reaches up to 70 meters.

Other
Aksona, Fener, Poyraz Port, Karaada Gökova side, Kurtoğlu are also among dive points around Bodrum suitable for wall, deep, shallow, training dives. It is possible to see many different types of sea creatures here.

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
Are you ready to open the doors to the underwater world you have seen on TV and wondered about? This is your chance to experience weightlessness and soundlessness; the feeling closest to being in the space, answering the question 'is diving a sport that I may like?', and the most important spending a day that is very different from your everyday.

In this excursion, - that have no prerequisites; not even swimming - you will have a dive of about 30 minutes after the 1 hour briefing. If you decide that diving is a sport for you and take a course with Crystal Divers, this will be considered as your first day. Your dive will be one-on-one with your instructor.

The quality of the operation, diving equipment and education meets the highest standards. CMAS and PADI courses are available at all levels on board. Minimum age for first level courses is 10.

We have more than 10 boats available both for diving and sailing. These are wooden boats with 6-8 cabins. All boats have cabins with private wc/shower, separate quarters for the crew, are equipped with sun mattresses, sun awnings, dinghy, surf boards, fishing tackle, games and stereo besides diving equipment.

CRYSTAL BOAT
'Crystal' is a 15 meter wooden boat with a capacity of 38 passengers, and a special diving platform at the stern. Built in 1994, Crystal is taken to land at the end of each season for maintenance and preparation for the upcoming season. Our 4,70 meter service boat equipped with a 110 HP outboard engine accompanies us at all times.

Equipment on board includes an oxygen set for two, life vests for all passengers, first aid kit, a VHF radio to contact other boats and the Coast Guard. There are three 'first aid instructors' on duty on Crystal at all times for fast action in case of emergency. In Crystal, there is a kitchen, a roomy toilet which we also use for changing clothes, an upper and a front deck for sunbathing, and a large open/closed saloon for briefings, having meals, and resting.

EQUIPMENT
Crystal Divers knows the first and most important safety precaution is using the best equipment for diving, thus in our dive center we always use new and highest quality equipment. All our equipment are maintained to the highest international standards, on time.

In all levels of our courses you will receive printed material in your language, thus you will learn faster and easier.

DIVE SITES

1. WOLF'S POINT
An ideal point for both advanced divers, open water divers and beginners. Takes about 15 minutes by boat. The rock formations start from 3 meters and then goes down to 20-30 meters. During the descent/ascent expect to see stone fish, groupers, star fish, sea cucumber and lots of broken amphora. There is also an old Phoenician ships anchor at the 15 meter level. You will also see rock outcrop, stone sea bed, sea grass and an occasional sandy sea bed.

2. OCTOPUS BAY / FOX POINT
An ideal site for open water divers and beginners. Takes about 12 minutes by boat. The rock formations start from 3 meters and then goes down to 20 meters. You will also see rock outcrop, stone sea bed, sea grass and an occasional sandy sea bed. Moray eels, octopuses, groupers can be seen in almost every dive.

3. BIG REEF
A symbolic point for diving in Bodrum! For advanced and open water divers ... Takes about 15 minutes by boat. The top of the Big Reef starts at 4 meters and goes down to 28-32 meters. The Bodrum and Gümbet side goes down with terraces, but the Black Island side is a wall dive. Look out for sting ray, groupers, sponges, stone fish and several other small species of fish (glance up to the surface from time to time in order to spot any passing barracuda).

4. SMALL REEF
The Small Reefs lays 200 meters from the Big Reef towards Bodrum. It starts at 5 meters and goes down to 28-30. Circumnavigate reef vertical walls keeping a look out for dusky groupers, white groupers, goldlines, sea bass, wrasse, stone fish, octopus, moray eels and barracuda ... and a sea turtle if you are lucky! This is an excellent scenic dive and with care one can go around the reef twice.

5. THE LIGHTHOUSE
It is just on the corner of the Black Island. Takes about 20 minutes by boat. An ideal point for both advanced divers, open water divers and beginners. The rock formations start from 5 meters and then goes down to 20 meters. During the dive, pass over sea grass, sand, rock outcrops and white coral (this is the only dive site on Black Island where white coral still exists). Look out for octopus, stone fish, moray eels, groupers of all sizes and other species of fish.

6. PAÇOZ BAY
A bay located between Smugglers and the Lighthouse. Takes about 25 minutes by boat. An ideal point for both advanced divers, open water divers and beginners. At a depth of about 6-7 meters you will come across a spectacular deep wall covered with several species of sea plants. Traverse the wall and visit three caves (qualifications permitting). Watch out for lobsters, sponges, barracuda, octopus, sting rays and groupers resting on the sponges. The sea bed is mainly sand and stone. The Sultan Wreck is also located here!

7. SMUGGLERS BAY
Takes about 30 minutes by boat. An ideal point for both advanced divers, open water divers and beginners. It is possible to dive into two directions of the bay. Look out for moray eels in the numerous cracks in the rocks. The rock formations go down to approximately 26 meters deep. Groupers will be encountered along with several other small species of fish. Also different species of sponges can be seen.

8. BUBBLE CAVE
It is on the back of the Black Island at a depth of 14 meters. Takes about 40 minutes by boat and is for advanced and open water divers. Bubble Cave has purple and orange formations inside which makes a truly wonderful site. During the dive you will see large groupers, wrasse, moray eels, octopus and other species of small fish. The mouth of the cave has a wide entrance. Advanced Divers may enter the cave and exit via the chimney The cave is full with wreckfish and lobsters. From the hole with a diameter of 1 meter at the ceiling of the cave, you go up to 6 meters. The interesting thing is that, there are lots of air bubbles at the end. For those with cameras be prepared for a spectacular sight of rising bubbles as you egress the chimney.

9. POYRAZ BAY
It is on the back of the Black Island and takes about 45 minutes by boat. This bay is always windy and is relaxing on hot summer days. An ideal point for both advanced divers, open water divers and beginners. The rock formations start from 5 meters and then goes down to 20 meters. Look out for groupers, octopus, moray eels, star fish, sponges and several other species of small fish - also amphoras.

10. FLAT ISLAND
Flat Island is an unusual rock formation caused by volcanic eruptions. It takes about 50 minutes by boat and is for advanced divers only, since there is too much current. The Flat island is about 300-400 meters far from the Aksona Point. The Black Island side and the northern part of the island is not good for diving, since it is very shallow and full of algaes. In almost every dive you might see, lobsters, moray eels, octopuses, groupers, dentex, wrasse and barracuda. Additionally a 3 meter long ray, is swimming together with the divers!

11. AKSONA POINT
It took its name from a famous sponge hunter Aksona Mehmet of Bodrum. It takes about 50 minutes by boat and is for advanced and open water divers only. It starts at 3 meters and then goes down to 20's, then a rock wall until 30-35 meters. There are lots of archeological foundings. Continue the dive passing over sea grass and rock formations where hopefully you should find an old Phoenician ships anchor at 13.5 meter level (about 16 minutes into dive). This anchor has been placed on top of a flat rock for easy sighting. On reaching the wall keep a look out for one almost complete piece of amphora lying on the sandy sea bed (about 30 meters depth). You might see, octopuses, groupers, white groupers, barracudas, murrey eels and if you are lucky thornback rays!

12. SOUTH POINT
Located on the south of the Black Island. It takes about 50 minutes by boat and is for advanced and open water divers only. The dive consists of rocky slopes with rock outcrops, sea grass, giant clams in sea grass. There are octopus at the 16 meter level on the descent/ascent. Small shoals of small fish will be seen during the dive. There are some small caves to be seen during the dive and a half cave to be seen at the 26 meter level which contains amphoras on a shelf. A large grouper patrols this half cave.

13. KARGI ISLAND
Takes about 1.5 hours by boat and is on the northwest direction, 1 km far from Akyarlar and 3,5 nautical miles from Kos-Greece... for advanced divers only! There is a lighthouse on the island. Between 5-25 meters you can see lots of broken amphora pieces from the IV. Century. The rock formations start from 20 meters and then goes down to 36 meters. It is possible to see 20 murrey eels at one dive! You may also see lots of groupers and barracudas. The only disadvantage is the strong current towards Kos.

14. ORAK ISLAND
An interesting wall dive for both advanced and open water divers. It starts at 6m and goes down to 90m. All experienced and beginner divers should see that wall. 1.5 hours far by boat. Little bit far but gives a lot of pleasure!

The dive base is member of the Association of German Sports Divers VDST and therefore also represented in the World Underwater Federation CMAS. We have a dive base for certified divers and a diving school for beginners and advanced divers. Furthermore our guests can continue with advanced VDST and PADI certificates. The base has more than 60 complete equipments from leading manufacturers plus 2 Bauer compressors K 15 (900 lt. / min.).

There is the possibility to dive from the coast (3 different spots) or from a diving boat (30 persons). On the boat also non diving guests are welcome. We are one of three dive bases in entire Turkey which has its own decompression chamber for the security of its divers. It is a 4 person chamber with a sluice and oxygen supply. A medical check up is mandatory for all divers. When not done at home, it can be performed by the resort' s doctor, it is free of charge.

Dive spots
Our dive spots offers highlights for all levels and for every taste: drop offs, caves and grottos and a nice house reef reachable from the land. Typical Mediterranean flora and fauna: gropers, morays, schools of mackerels and barracudas, parrot fishes, slugs and octopussy.

For diving couples with children Lykia World is an excellent choice, because our dive times are planned in coordination with the children animation team. For children between 8 -12 years we offer a children dive program.

TRAINING

Motif Diving centre is fully equipped and the most sophisticated diving facility in the area, it offers a complete range of safe quality diving services. .Our team of competent and friendly instructors will make your diving both enjoyable and safe. BOAT
Thalassa is our 21m (68 feet) purpose built diving boat, completed in July 1998. It offers several unique features which include a glass bottom from which guest may view the fantastic underwater scenery. The main cabin is a large carpeted area with plenty of shaded space and sitting area for both dining and diving theory lectures.

"Glass bottom boat" Entry and exiting the water could not be easier from the water line platform, which is especially popular with newcomers to diving. Our Boat's chef prepares a delicious traditional Turkish lunch. Throughout the day a selection of hot and cold drinks and a choice of snacks and confectionery is available. The huge sundeck is carpet covered and has an abundance of sunbeds. It also provides an excellent viewing platform to watch the day's diving operations .1 toilet, + 1 galley, 1 large cabin, 4 staff cabins - large waterline dive platform for divers, large equipment store, large sundeck for sunbathing for non divers. 2 x 150 hp engines.

Our centre is comprehensively equipped for all divers, from beginner to advanced level.
All equipment is regularly serviced and is frequently replaced with new kit, as a part of our ongoing maintenance programme.
Wet Suits, fins and weight belts are available in a wide range of sizes.
Stabilizing jackets (Buoyancy Control Devices) are available in a wide range of sizes and are all equipped with a direct feed system.

Try Dives
Divers Delight offer you an experience of a lifetime with our one day Try Dive. After experiencing our underwater silent world, you will never be fulfilled on land again! Our Try Dives offer you the chance to try scuba diving in warm, serene waters under full supervision from qualified instructors. We are pleased to inform you that we have English, Dutch, German and Russian speaking staff on our team.

Your day begins with collection from your hotel at around 8.30 am by Divers Delight's private minibus, which will bring you to our office to complete check-in formalities. Then you will be transferred to our custom built dive boat. Our dive boats are fully equipped with wc, sundeck, shaded deck, sunbeds, comfortable seating area, bar and full safety equipment. Departure from the harbour will be at 9.30 am. During the journey to the dive site you will be given a brief orientation of the day out, scuba diving and the equipment involved. The briefings are given in several languages according to our customers that day.

Then in groups of no more than four and with three instructors and dive masters attending, you will be kitted up in waist high waters. Once you are comfortable with your equipment and surroundings you will be gently eased into the water. With your instructor in front and your escorts above, you will begin the exhilaration of breathing under water. In the Aegean sea you will experience the thrill of coming face to face with the aquatic life, whether it be octopus, star fish, corals and sea sponges, not to mention having your photo taken whilst feeding the fish. After your first dive has been completed, you can relax and enjoy a fully cooked lunch and spend some time snorkeling, swimming or simply just soaking up the sun.

Then it's time for your second dive! Now you have some experience, you will be able to take more control and enjoy your dive that bit more, not forgetting of course that your instructor and escorts are still beside you. With this re-assurance in mind, the freedom that only the underwater world can give, and of course the superb animation from our Divers Delight diving team, you will never want to get out of the water again!

PADI Divemaster Internship
Duration 6 Weeks
The student spends about 6 weeks as an assistant to our more experienced instructors accompanying them on dives, on training sessions and in the classroom. There is exposure to many other facets of being a professional Divemaster such as compressor operation, equipment servicing and sales. The total number of training sessions is undefined but all set work will be covered and much more besides

Entry level - Rescue diver with 50 logged dives and medical from a Doctor. Dives may be made up at Divers Delight prior to starting the course.

Basic Course syllabus stipulated by PADI has three components

Personal Skills Evaluation
Watermanship and Stamina, General Diving Skills, Problem Solving (in water), Diver Rescue

Theory
Self study and tutorials covering Dive Planning, Dive Management, Student, Supervision, Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Skills and Environment and RDP.

Practical
Assist in not less than 5 confined water training sessions and 10 open water training sessions. Map drawing exercise. The Practical Section (3) is normally done by assisting Instructors on an open water and on an advanced open water course. You will be expected to get involved in all aspects of running a dive centre starting with greeting the clients, through issuing equipment, discussing dive sites and helping on dives to filling cylinders and equipment sales.
Some items must be done in sequence, such as the Diver Rescue exercise, but others are fitted in around the normal daily activities giving a very informal and relaxed approach. Candidates may also be involved in Try Dives and in diving excursions for experienced divers.

Not Included with the course are
Personal diving equipment, PADI Divemaster Registration Fees, Accommodation, Doctors medical, Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, Diving Knowledge Workbook

Qualified Divers
Divers Delight offers all certified divers the pleasure of discovering the underwater world full of amazing aquatic life in the Aegean and the Mediterranean seas. Allow Divers Delight to be your guide, showing you all the wonders of archaeological dive sites, caves, walls, drop-offs, reefs, tunnels and many more!

Our purpose built luxury dive boats are fully equipped with WC, Sundeck, Comfortable Seating Area, Spacious Diving Platform, Oxygen Therapy Unit, First Aid, VHF, and full diving equipment including: Tanks, Weights, BC's, Regs, Wet suits, Fins, Masks and Snorkels. DIN valves are available on request.

Turkish law has it that no tourists are permitted to dive alone and must be escorted by a Dive Guide, due to archaeological sites. All certified divers must bring their certification card and log book to the centre when making reservations or on the day of diving.

At Divers Delight all our dives are done from our luxury dive vessels and in groups of 4/5 with divers being of similar certifications and experience. They are led by an Instructor/Divemaster and if the group exceeds the above amount a Divemaster will join the group at the back for safety reasons.

FETHIYE DIVE SITES

BARRACUDA REEF
The boat will anchor direct over the reef roof. The top of the reef is 12 meters. The descent allows you to explore many types of fish and marine life. The reef is a small island that drops off to 45 meters with a spectacular view. Great photographic opportunities. Groups of Barracuda can be seen.

TUNNELS
A good shallow second dive of the day. The first tunnel is at 12m./40ft. where you enter and exit at 3m./10ft. In every arch way or tunnel, you can see the light of exit point and with the longest tunnel being only 10m/ 33ft. in length there is no need for guide lines and there is plenty of natural light. For this dive, lights are recommended to see into smaller homes and hiding places for any species of life including red mullet, mullet fish, shrimp, sea cucumbers, brittle stars and many types of sea anemones.

AFKULE
Probably the best dive in the Med & The wall where one starts the dives is so colorful and there are many varieties of marine life to photograph. Along the fauna and coral wall you will find trumpet anemones, gem anemones, daisy anemones, strawberry anemones, devonshire cup corals, gold star coral, soft corals, dead man fingers, sea fans and many forms of lace coral. The Morays linger in the holes and cracks along with small shrimp and blennies. The exit point inside and open cavern where the most beautiful scenery above and below the water awaits you.

MARMARIS DIVE SITES

DIVERS DELIGHT BAY
This bay offers a selection of three dives from novice to experience. For novice divers or your second dive of the day we recommend the 12 meter dive which is abundant in marine life and also offers swim troughs, hard and soft corals as well as caves and tunnels for the experienced diver. The 18 meter dive offers 2000 year old amphoras and the chance to encounter Groupers, Moray eels, Jacks, Ray's, and Octopus. This dive can also be done as a multilevel dive and combined with the 12 meters dive.

The 30 meter dive is for the experienced diver, and as you make your way down the drop off, you will come to a reef where you will see a 2000 year old anchor and also amphora. As you work your way around the reef you will come across a family of Groupers that will stay there until you get within a few meters, when they will disappear into there home. This area is also frequented by Rays.

THE WALL
On this dive you will be dropped to the right of the wall and the best way to dive this is to keep your depth at around 18 meters, where you will see the wall covered in hard and soft coral. The bottom depth of this dive is 45 meters off the wall. Therefore, buoyancy control is essential. Here you will also get the chance to see an abundant amount of marine life, sometimes we get the occasional Tuna, large Groupers and Jacks. Towards the end of the wall the depth rises to around 12 meters where you will find an open cave that rises above the surface, this is where the boat will be waiting to collect you.

KADIRGA ROCK
Kadırga rock is a well known favorite in Turkey as on this dive there are some interesting archaeological finds. The rock rises from the water and the boat will anchor up here to let you kit up and be in the same place at the end of the dive. Your guide will take you down to around 15 meters where you will see hundreds of amphora. Although nearly all of them are smashed, you can still see the odd one intact. You will then make your way round the rock to a place were you will see a very large Grouper that is nearly always there. Please refrain from taking these amphoras as it is against the law. On Kadırga Rock you can see a wide variety of marine life and you can also find anchors around the rock that date back thousands of years.

CHIMNEY CAVE
Chimney cave is a wonderful dive. At this dive site where the boat moors up to the reef, the stunning back drop of the mountains really hits you, not to mention the stunning underwater topography. The dive here is a multilevel dive that takes you around a wall and as you keep your depth at around 18 meters you make your way round the reef. After 20 minutes, turn round on a reciprocal bearing and swim up to 15 meters where you will come across a gully. At the top of the gully is a cave, that on entry, you can look up and see a hole in the roof. This exit hole is quite large so you can pass through it safely. On exiting the cave you are now at 7 to 8 meters where you can take it nice and easy along the top of the reef and take in the beauty that the Aegean sea has to offer.

NIGHT DIVES are also available.

A 30 meter maximum depth limit is put on all dives!

Pluto diving center is the only diving school in Bardakcı Bay, Bodrum, and has several highly qualified diving instructors and dive leaders for the best possible diving experience.

We are again pleased to serve you with our professional staff and equipment in the year 2005 to discover underwater beauty of Bodrum. DIVING BOATS

DION
Large sundeck and front sundeck for about 35 people, preparing area, and dive platform (6 m) with fresh water shower.

DERIN DENIZ

ATLANTIS EGE

Dive boat Ilmer M/Y' is 16 m long with 280 HP Delfin diesel engine. Also we have a 4 m inflatable boat with 25 HP outbound engine.

DIVING LOCATIONS
We have more than 15 dive points around Bodrum with typical Aegean and Mediterranean flora and fauna. Shallow water diving points offer dives without currents but full of fish for first timers, while some deeper points have small currents for experienced divers. There are two reefs with depths ranging from 7 to 40 meters. They are full of fish with good chances for photography. There are two caverns one at 12 meters, a bubble cavern. Other one is at 6 meters with air in it, walls reflecting different shades of deep blue. Drop-offs allows you to discover something different.

At times visibility reaches up to 40 meters meaning that you are now diving in crystal clear waters, literally! Rock formations in the dive points offer shelter for groupers, octopuses, learfish, barracudas and other different creatures. You also may see amphoras and antique anchors which are more than 2000 years old.

Big reef
20 minutes by boat. Depth to the south is 32 meters and to the north 36. Groupers, barracudas, learfish and octopuses are the head actors of the reef. You may even come across a caretta turtle if you are lucky.

Small reef
200 meters from the high reef towards Bodrum, sharing the same habitat with the high reef. Both reefs are waiting for you to show how endless blue looks like.

Poyraz Cavern
Not a cave but a cavern... Entrance is at 6 meters and there is air in it. We call this the Seal Cavern as we have seen seal in the area on occasion.

Bubble Cave
Bubble Cave in Karaada have its' entrance at 12 meters and its' ceiling is at 6. The air bubbles you produce escapes from the holes in the ceiling producing amazing scenery. You'll love this one...

Kargı Island: 500 meters from the tip of Akyarlar, one of the closest points to the Greek Islands. Diving point at the Gökova side of the island starts at 20 meters and with a gentle slope goes down to 36. One must pay attention to the surface and deep currents towards Cos.

Köçek Island
Dive points at this rocky island, about a nautical mile from Bodrum, has depth of 10 meters at the side towards land, and 20 - 22 meters at side towards Greek Islands. At the Gökova side of the island depth reaches up to 34 - 36 meters. There are abundance of amphorae remains, and a lot of fish, mostly blackeyed bream.

Kaçakçı Bay
This bay at the Aegean side of Karaada is adviced as a training site for experienced divers.

Yassıkaya Island
This is a rocky island suitable for diving. It is located 500 meters from Karaada to the direction of Gökova. In the area there are a lot of sea creatures including octopussy.

Orak Island
Located in the Gökova Bay, it takes about 1,5 hours to reach this island with boat. It is the furthermost dive point in Bodrum area. Even though there are not a lot of fish to see, the sea bottom is topographically interesting. At both sides of the island depth reaches up to 70 meters.

Other: Aksona, Fener, Poyraz Port, Karaada Gökova side, Kurtoğlu are also among dive points around Bodrum suitable for wall, deep, shallow, training dives. It is possible to see many different types of sea creatures here.

Dolphinland Dive Center started its operations in 1999. Since then we are doing our best to offer nice, safe, enjoyable dives around Çeşme. We have at our disposal two boats, 5 instructors, 1 dive master, 2 captain and many dive volunteers in Çeşme/Dalyanköy.

DIVING BOATS

DOLPHINLAND : Specially designed 15 m wooden dive boat. 30 people capacity. Dive platform, sundeck, wc, shower, kitchen, changing cabin. 9 miles/hour. Dolphinland will willingly cater to individual needs as required.

ŞAH : 4 m wooden gulet. 3 cabins, wc, shower, kitchen. Usually used for the non diver or for touring. 12 people capacity, 9 miles/hour.

PADI SCUBA DIVER COURSE
Takes 2 days. After the course, the diver can dive to 12 m. max with an instructor. This is a basic course for beginners. This course includes 5 hours of theory, 2 hours of confined water training and 2 open water dives.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE
A 4 day training program. On completion of the course the diver can dive anywhere around the world with a buddy to a depth of 18 m max. This course includes 10 hours of theory, 1 day of confined water training and 4 dives in two days.

PADI ADVANCE OPEN WATER COURSE
Divers with an open water diver or equivalent certificate can start this course. The course includes 2 hours of theory, 2 core dives (deep&navigation ), 3 electives dives (search and recovery, night dive, multilevel dive, photo, uw. Naturalist, peak perform buoyancy) Takes 2 days. 5 special dives.

Apart from the above we also give SPECIALITY DIVE COURSES, EFR, RESCUE DIVER AND DIVE MASTER COURSES.

During the course all the equipment is supplied by Dolphinland. During the boat dives lunch is also included.

DIVE BOAT TOURS
Every day at 10 am we leave Dalyan harbour and we can get to the furthest dive site in 45 min. We do two dives a day. Between dives we have an excellent lunch, typical Turkish cuisine. Divers can bring their own equipment or they can use our new equipment.

Between the dives you can enjoy yourself by snorkeling or swimming in the clear blue and warm waters of the Aegean sea. For the non diver, we can offer a discovery dive program. They can enjoy the underwater world by diving under the supervision of one of our experienced instructors.

CRACKED ROCK
One of our most popular sites for all levels. A good first multi level dive location. Dive able in all weather conditions. Good visibility and very little current. One can see an old 7th century anchor and some Amphora's from the 4th to 7th century. A fishermans net stunningly drapes the shear wall which has become home to many small creatures. For non divers a perfect site for snorkeling and a typical Turkish lunch for all.

88 ROCKS
Down to 50 M . One will find many historical Amphora's lying abandoned on the sea-bed having given up it's content long ago to its new home. For the most eagled eyed, you will come across what appears to be an ancient tablet !!! Diving among the Amphora's one can't but wonder how these artifacts finally came to rest all those years ago. The sense of diving within the past gives an eerie atmosphere only a diver will ever be able to appreciate

BEDROOM
This is a perfect 2nd dive as it has a max depth of 17 m. Diving in a counter clockwise direction you will notice a spectacular arch beneath you. Dive through the arch and come face to face with the opening to the bedroom. Inside the chimney it has an opening to the middle of the island. One can surface and admire the natural beauty of an unspoiled landscape. On the way to the bedroom you will be visited by very colorful schools of barracudas and scorpion fish etc.

NO NAME
Another perfect site for a second dive. Always very calm in any weather. Max depth is 16 m. Very colorful and full of fish. Simply follow the shore line and come back. Easy for navigation. We also have a few very near by dive sites to No Name. Therefore this site can be used to stop and rest between the dives and move to a different one in the afternoon.

TOPUK
When the sea is calm we can get there as it is in the middle of the sea. Max. 18m depth. Barracudas and Jack fish swim around. Very interesting site. One of the near by sites to No name. Do you have a picture standing up in the middle of the sea?! One can not stop himself to think that this was the main reason for the many remnants of the wrecks around!

MONEM
A superb wreck to dive. It lies at 17m depth. You can even sea the mast above the sea. Any body can see it. We take the advanced divers in to explore the wreck. Would you like to see the bow from the captains place? It is a bit spooky though...

TUNA FISH FARM
An other Dolphinland treat! Imagine diving with huge fish. It would be nice wouldn't it? Now imagine diving with huge and thousands of them. On top of that you and them are in the farm, surrounded by nets! You must experience this. Really unbelievable. They weigh between two to five hundred kilos.

We are living on a peninsula surrounded by 3 different seas, curious about the world underneath the blue surface color...You want to have a hobby which combines science, adventure, aesthetic, and sport in this day and age...

Turkey offers a diverse range of diving experiences. Argos Diving Club, based in Saroz, is located just a few minutes away from Çanakkale's premier dive site, the wrecks of Gelibolu.

The decision to come to and dive is an easy one but who to choose to dive with may not be so straight forward. When making this decision, please consider WHY Argos Diving Club should be your first choice.

Apart from the history, where divers used very primitive equipment, and masks made out of children's buckets, today's most scuba diving centers is equipped with a top diving technology that allows you to enjoy your underwater explorations to the maximum. Argos Diving Club offers you a well designed curriculum, which will make you a diver in just a few days!

Our scuba classes consists of theory lessons (the fundamental elements of diving and basic safety rules), and practical dives in the shallow sea accompanied by friendly, and professional instructors.

Students who successfully finish their training program will receive CMAS International Diving Certificate and a CMAS Membership Card that will allow them to dive all over the world, and open a new door to further scuba adventures. Furthermore, this certification is a basic requirement for other dive shops that offer air filling for tanks. Those, who find a new passion in scuba diving, are encouraged by our center to take further qualifications, where reefs, walls, wrecks, and night dives are just appetizers on the Blue Planet's menu.

Everyone is welcome to come and dive with us. You must be 14+ years to dive, and we strongly recommend that you have a medical check-up (heart, lungs, teeth and ears) before diving. We can organize travel for the individuals or large groups to any destination you require at competitive rates.

Since 1995, Argos Diving Club has been growing not only in size, but also in experience. Frequent diving trips are organized to many diving locations of Turkey, such as Saroz Gulf, Çanakkale, Gelibolu, Dardanelles, Ayvalık, Çeşme, Bodrum, Kaş and Kıyıköy (the Black Sea). Furthermore, we are using the latest technology (GPS and Sonar) to do a further underwater research, and make every dive a limitless opportunity to explore the undiscovered!

If you are a non-diver, you can still enjoy your time on the beach, or snorkel around in the shallow waters. Argos Diving Club is here to help you make your experience a real holiday! There is no need to bring anything with you, because we provide it all. From tents, sleeping bags, mats to full diving equipment, and food. You just lay back, relax and let us do the rest for you.

That's why us & we are different, we've dived and experienced the sea, and we care about our clients. At the end of April, when the temperatures are warm enough for diving, Argos Diving Club opens its season for customers. There are several locations around the Saroz Gulf suitable for camping and diving purposes.

In the past, Argos Diving Club traveled to various destinations every weekend, such as Gökçetepe (a nice camping area with a nearby pine forest, just a few steps away from the beach), and Gökçeada (a nature paradise island). At last, Argos has found the perfect place for its customers who enjoy nights under the open sky, with an unforgettable view of the moon, the sea, and the mountains: the beach of Uzunkum. Since last year, we have made Uzunkum our fixed camp base... our home.

You don't need to be a diver to join us in our camp. Our facilities are open to everyone. Put on your shoes, and go hiking on the rocky hills and smell the pines. Put your swimsuit on, and get some tan, or refresh yourself at the sea!

COURSES
Safety is a number one priority in Argos Diving Center. We provide safe and professional training. Since our inauguration in 1995, we have trained nearly 400 CMAS 1* OWD, 75 CMAS 2* OWD, 37 CMAS 3* OWD and 23 CMAS 1*&2** Diving Instructors.

Our training consists of 2 parts. In the first one, students will learn the fundamental elements of diving and basic safety rules (trainee gets his/her training book and CD's and 8 hours of lessons with the help of CD's and Dia show). Second part consists of 2 days of practice, which include 3 knowledge development dives and 2 open water dives (total of 5 dives). After finishing the training successfully, the trainees becomes a qualified CMAS 1* Diver.

What is C.M.A.S?
In 1959, delegates of 15 different countries formed Confederation Mondiale des Activites Subaquatiques (The World Confederation of Sub aquatic Activities) in Monaco under the direction of famous Marine Biologist Jean-Jacques Cousteau. CMAS today is found in 178 countries worldwide, registered millions of member divers, and thousands of diving schools. It is the world's leading Diver Training Organization that is known for active help in scientific, sportive, technical and medical fields.

C.M.A.S. diver and diving instructor training system is a step-by-step learning system where you advance yourself from the easiest level to the professional and master degree. All the training steps consist of different theoretical and practical information gains. The aim of the training is to gain all necessary knowledge and skills and to reach the required standards.

OUR FAVORITE DESTINATIONS

Argos Diving Club is an expert in diving sites that the Northern part of Aegean Sea has to offer. From Saroz Bay to Çanakkale, Gelibolu, Gökçeada or Ayvalık, it offers the best that is to see in the depths of local waters. Thanks to rich historical events that took place here in the past, Argos Diving Club has named this place "The Graveyard of the Aegean." A variety of shipwrecks and artifacts to be seen are only a proof that this nickname is deserved.

Argos Diving Club uses zodiacs and a new dive boat called ÜÇ SEAS as a mean of transportation to the more distant places. Every dive we make is an experience itself, and everyone is welcome to join us aboard!

There are plenty of other locations we like to visit during the summer, such as Kale Koyu-Asker Taşı (reef), Uzunkum-Toplar Burnu (wall), Ibrice, Gökçetepe (reef), Kömür Limanı (wall), Minnoş Kayalıkları (reef), Despot (wall), Bebek Kayalıkları (reef), Çeşme, Bodrum, and Kıyıköy (practice of a hard-hat method of diving). Besides the Aegean Sea, Argos Diving Club also organizes diving trips to further locations in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea or the Black Sea.

SAROZ BAY

North Aegean Sea
Latitude (DMS): 40° 30' 0 N
Longitude (DMS): 26° 19' 60 E

Asker Taşı (Soldier Stone)
Asker Taşı is situated at Uzunkum region which is just a few hundred meters away from Cape Toplar. The reef is 1 mile out in the sea and has a diameter of approximately 250 meters. The upper part starts about 12 meters under the water and finishes off at 33 meters. The rocky formation mirrors the richness of Saroz. The tens of varieties of nudibranches close to 15 cm, and European lobsters increase in number in September.

Cape Toplar
It is the only place in the west of Ibrice harbor that provides opportunities for deep diving. There is the possibility of finding many coves covered with multicolored sponges which are home to the moray eel, conger eel (Conger conger), several species of scorpion fish and octopuses. You will especially see the crawfish during your deep wall dives which will inspect you with curious eyes. Cape Toplar can provide you with a diving opportunity of up to 50 meters and is besieged in the summertime by strong afternoon winds. Thus I advise you to make the first deep dive of the day at this point. May I also suggest a night dive for the experienced divers and photographers.

Ibrice Harbor
This is a harbor hidden between the steep rocks that descend into the sea. You can drive up to the beach and make any kind of dive you desire. Those who come here to dive generally stay at the hotels in Keşan or camp out. You can enter the sea either from the place where the lighthouse is or from the beach next to it. The magnificent underwater colors and living forms await you at 3 meters. These waters that will give you a different excitement in each season also provides an opportunity for deep diving because they reach 45 meters.

Üç Adalar (Three Islands)
Three Islands consists of one large and two small islands. This is the place to go diving when there is a strong wind at the other diving pints at Ibrice inlet or Gьneyli harbour. The secluded spots of the island provide a good place for trainees and experienced divers. You may encounter many broken amphora at the south end point of the big island. It is also possible that you may see many varieties of fish like locust lobster (Scyllarides latus), blotched pickerel (Spiarca maena) and salpa (Sarpa salpa) among the rocks covered with multicolored sponges while the dentex accompany you. The other islands, besides the big island, are not of much interest for scuba divers.

Minnoş Island
This magnificent rock rises 15 meters above the surface of the sea and will take you from the first meters into a world of orange colored hard corals. Do not exceed the maximum depth of 40 meters by getting enraptured in this beautiful world that continues into very deep waters. You can make a complete tour of the island during your dive. If you are very lucky the dolphins and sea turtles that escape from the fishing nets in the open waters of the island will come. You can encounter the large spotted dogfish (Scyiorhinus stellaris), angler fish (Lophius piscatorius) or large skates where the rocks finish and the sand starts.

Bebek (Baby) Rocks
They are the last magnificent rocks to see before the Saroz bay joins the Aegean Sea. Divers experienced in currents will enjoy the variety of colors and life forms. The rocks that rise a few meters from the surface of the sea continue hundreds of meters below. They are home to at least 6 separate diving spots and are the place where the crustaceans change their shells in the month of April. After 12 meters, the coves of these colorful rocks are home to moray eels. You will experience the thrill of your life as you go deeper when a dolphin, angler fish or a large spotted dogfish appears suddenly in front of your eyes. Who knows you may even encounter a huge sea turtle. It is a paradise for macro photographs even though it is a region where one has to use a wide angle lenses. If you have not dived at these rocks that means you have not dived in Saroz.

ÇANAKKALE (The Dardanelles)

NORTH AEGEAN SEA

The Wreck of Lundy
Make Lundy your first experience if you never dove to a sunken ship before. The 1908 model 188 ton wreck is located at Suvla bay (between Cape Büyük Kemikli and Cape Küçük Kemikli). According to sources, the British decided to withdraw from Arıburnu and Suvla bay on December 7th, leaving behind many equipment of war. This was after the French and Russians supported the decision to withdraw suggested by Lord Kitchener to the British Council of Ministers. They sunk 5 large ships and over 60 transport boats in the region between Suvla bay and Arıburnu. This ship which is thought to have had a 12 member crew, has been our guest for the past 84 years and is host to our underwater history in the region. You can see the silhouette of the boat at 13 meters and tour the deck of the boat and the conning bridge at 18 meters. It sits at 28-30 meters and still possesses its propeller.

Refinery Ship
This is the second spot generally frequented because it is situated inside the Suvla bay and is not affected by strong weathers. The ship is still in possession of its broiler that was used to distil pure water from seawater for the soldiers during wartime. This ship that fought for many years is now buried in the sand at 14 meters depth.

Cape Küçük Kemikli
Cape Küçük Kemikli with its endless sandy beaches is an ideal spot for the training of beginner divers. This long beach of approximately 7 kilometers is protected with all its natural characters. The beach which is always quiet except on weekends when campers and divers arrive is also the place where the Anzacs landed. There are many monumental cemeteries on these lands that survived through two big wars such as Büyük Anafartalar and Küçük Anafartalar. The two picturesque villages that gave their names to these wars provide interesting photographs with their village houses and coffee houses. During the landing of the Anzacs and British soldiers in the past, the location buoys they threw over were dragged towards the mountainous regions instead of the valleys by the strong currents, making them land in the wrong place. This strong current has lost nothing of its power. You will encounter magnificent rocky areas during dives. The underwater structure resembles that of Cape Büyük Kemikli and is a beautiful spot with crawfish, groupers, two banded sea breams and a colorful underwater life.

British and Anzacs Boats
Hundreds of boats had been used during the sea and land landings. Most of these can be found on the beaches at Arıburnu and Küçük Kemikli. You can see many examples on the beach and also 3-5 meters under the sea between Arıburnu and Suvla bay where the British and Anzacs soldiers landed. The two largest of the group are the most important points for diving today. These two landing boats lie on the sand close to Kabatepe harbour. They are positioned in the open seas of Arıburnu at 42 meters and inside Suvla Bay at 27 meters and can be noticed from the first meters by their dark shadows. The upper rails of the wreck covered with large peacock worms and purple colored sponges are like a grill. Conger eels and prawns are frequently encountered creatures.

Majestic
The majestic was built in 1895 and was the oldest warship of the British. Winston Churchill, while planning the Gallipoli War, had declared that the ship was too old to be used. The other high ranked authorities, thinking that the Dardanelles and Istanbul would be easily captured, incorporated the ship into the fleet regardless of the warnings. Diving to this ship which took part in the sea landing of March 18th is altogether another experience. When you see a black and white photograph of this ship at the museum, your excitement will be twice fold. The wreck is situated at Morto Bay close to Seddülbahir, which is the exact end point of the Dardanelles Strait. This 1895 model British ship was sunk by a torpedo from U-21 German submarine. The ship with a length of 119 meters weighed 14.900 tons and sunk with a crew of 757 on the coasts of Çanakkale. The silhouette of the ship appears at 15 meters. The underwater fauna around the sill active bombs, the turning base of the ship's cannon, the chimneys and the observation tower that lies sideways is of great interest especially for the photographers.

Landing Boats
These boats are situated under the Seddülbahir lighthouse just after the bay of Morto outside the Dardanelles strait. Two landing boats lie next to each other on the sand at close to 30 meters of depth. Troll boats which are generally used for whale hunting, served during the war for mine searchers and land attacks. There are schools of two banded sea breams inside the ship and you can encounter the angler fish, large spotted dogfish and skates at the sandy areas close by.

German Torpedo Ship
At the time, the British war ships Inflexible and Irresistible were cannoning the Çanakkale coasts during First World War, the Germans, as allies of the Ottoman Empire had their headquarters at the place where Çimenlik fortress is situated. One of the bombs that was thrown, fell close to the German headquarters. The soldiers were immediately evacuated from their barracks into the torpedo ship that was anchored on the coast and tried to escape through the strait. However, one of the bombshells from the Irresistible ended the life of the German ship on March 18th, 1915. The ship with a crew of 1315 sunk just outside the present yacht marina in Çanakkale. It is situated at 16 meters right in the middle of the Dardanelles strait where the sea traffic is the heaviest.

DIVE POINTS

Kemer Bay / Trigger Point / Mara Point / Poyraz Point
The reefs are perfectly suitable for the beginners and the experienced divers. The depth range is between 13 and 23m. The reef is perfectly exciting to dive both sides. You can see all the traces of the Mediterranean marine life at the area with the amazing colors of sponges, parrot fish, groupers, sting ray and so on.

Blue Reef
This site is especially suitable in windy weather conditions at where the cape stops the wind. It is appropriate for both the experienced and the beginners. The depth range is between 6 to 20 meters. The bottom is a mixture of sand, sea grass and it is rocky at some parts. You can trace the typical Mediterranean marine life.

Three Islands
There are more than 10 dive sites located approximately 5-7 minutes away from each other, by boat. The area is suitable for both the experienced and the beginners. One 'must' dive into the 'Cave' which its entrance starts at 9 meters depth, leading a 25-30 meters tunnel which is wide at the entrance and narrowing at the end.

Wreck Paris
It was found in 1997 and is stile a highlight for the divers to see the bombs, carbon-brickets beside and near to hand painted tiles. The wreck also became the house of the octopi, murene, groupers and so on. The wreck starts at 18 m. and the deepest point is 32 m. It is a nice dive site, only for the experienced divers.

Cave Diving
One 'must' dive into the 'Cave' which its entrance starts at 9 meters depth, leading a 25-30 meters tunnel which is wide at the entrance and narrowing at the end. The narrowing part leads an opening above in which there is air, and you can see the stalactite and the stalagmite. The site is specially preferable for the experienced divers. We consult daily diving tours once/twice a week to 3 islands,since it takes about one and a half hour to reach the site.

Wreck "PARIS"
Certainly a highlight for all wreck diver fans. A French cargo ship with 3 decks and 2 shipping spaces. The ship was built in 1896 and sunk on December 13, 1917 during World War I. You can find it in deep sand floor and it's in good shape.

Everybody up from 12 years on and of medical sight allowed to dive can learn scuba diving (please bring an actual medical certificate with you !
Divers under 40 years should have a certificate not older than 2 years, divers up from 40 years not older than 1 year).
2 x per week we offer free of charge diving trials in the hotel's pool.
Worldwide recognized courses from NAUI - PADI - CMAS are offered and our instruction covers the whole range from beginner to dive-instructor. In our Diving Center you'll find a own training classroom.

Seagulls Diving Centre is open for every diver (also non-residents of the hotel) from the beginning of April to the end of October.

Payment methods: Cash, traveler cheques in Euro or US $. We do not accept credit cards. Please note that you can find a lot of cash machines in Tekirova for EC and credit cards which pay out Euro .
Dive computer: Required if you want to dive independently. Dive computers can be lend out at our Diving Centre (subject to fee).
Photos/Video: We are pleased to take photos or videos during your dive (subject to fee). Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Our diving center is equipped with best quality products. 30 complete outfits can be lend out which are regularly maintained and checked by our internal and licensed service. All equipment accessories- and -types can be maintained and repaired in our center. Popular spare parts are available in small quantities.

At Seagulls Diving Center you can dive with INT and DIN adapter. 80 tanks are at your disposal (60 x 10 L; 20 x 12/15 L) which are filled by 3 Bauer compressors.

Certainly a highlight is our diving speed boat powered by a 240 PS motor. It's 10 m long and offers comfort and space for ca. 10 divers. Therefore all diving spots can be reached in short time.

For special dive groups we charter a bigger boat.

SCUBA DIVING IN ALANYA
The interesting flora, the variety of underwater marine life and especially the enticing underwater caverns and caves have made Alanya a popular dive. Most of the dive sites are situated around the coastline of the Alanya Castle, the steep cliffs of which turn to dramatic drop offs under the surface of the sea. The close proximity of these dive sites makes them easily accessible even by inflatables and diving three or four times a day is possible with the option of returning to base after each dive. The sites are also very suitable for night dives.

ALANYA
The Red Tower
The 33-meter tall tower was built in order to keep the harbor under surveillance at all times. The technique used in its construction, its floor plan and its construction, its floor plan and its durability make this monumental tower one of the most prominent Seljcuk monument. The octagonal tower built on rocky terrain has a diameter of 29 meters.

DAILY PROGRAM

09:45 - 10:30 Transfer to Dive Center registration and check in.
10:30 - 11:00 During journey to the morning dive sites in a friendly atmosphere the dive master gives briefing about the boat routine and the safety procedures.
11:00 - 11:15 After the briefing dive master makes the groups and the first dive starts.
13:00 - 14:30 Lunch starts. Both during lunch time and during the day there is a plenty of time to relax sunbathe and snorkel.
14:30 - 15:00 Heading off for afternoon dive in another place and second dives start.
17:00 - 17:30 Boats return at 17:30 approximately and transfer back to the hotel.

DIVE SPOTS
1-Aquarium
Aquarium, 5 min. sailing distance, is the closest diving location to Alanya harbour. Depth ranges from 4 to 25 meters. This location is mainly used for educational diving. Because of it's mild (favorable) whether conditions, this spot is an ideal alternative diving site. Sea bed is composed of rocks and sea weed grass. Various underwater creatures like snails, mussels, octopus, black scorpion fish, moray, soldier fish, grouper could be observed.

2-Amphora
Amphora is the second closest diving location. Sailing distance is approximately 5 mins. It owes name to broken pieces of amphora. Dept is max. 29 m. This location is rich in underwater life. Various underwater creatures like grouper, moray, octopus, thornback ray and pigfish could be observed. Sea bed is composed of rocks.

3-Pirate Cave
Pirate cave is a multi-purpose diving side for both inexperienced and experienced divers. Distance to Alanya Harbour is 8 to 10 mins. Minimum depth is 10 meters. While maximum depth is 32 m. Also, there is a wreck at 25 m. depth. Pirate's cave is an open and large cave, which does not impose any danger. Entrance to the cave starts at 12 m. depth. Right at the entrance is a ancient mill-stone 1 m. in diameter. Stones in the cave reflect the light, and create a fascinating fiesta of colors. Inside the cave, divers can ascent and observe bats with flashlights. Sea bed is composed of rocks. Various underwater creatures like grouper, octopus, barracuda, shellfish, thornbackray could be observed.

4-Terrace
Terrace is approximately 10 min. sailing distance to Alanya Harbour. Depth is between 7 to 25 m. Sea bed is steep and is composed of rocks. Generally underwater life is basically shellfish. Close to the skirts of the mountain hidden moray can be seen.

5-Middle Cave
Middle cave is 12 min. distance to Alanya Harbour. Depth of the location is 15 m. minimum and 34 m. maximum. Cave's entrance is located at 15 m. depth. This site is ideal for experienced divers and deep-water diving.

6-Lovers Cave
Lovers is 15 mins. sailing distance to Alanya Harbour. Depth is between 10 to 34 m. This site is suitable for both educational diving for inexperienced and for the experienced. Sea bed is mainly rocky. It has a lively underwater life. An ancient anchor is located at 21 m. depth. At 4 m. depth, at the skirts of the mountain is a small and closed cave.

7-Dilvarda (E)
Dilvarda east is located at the east of the farthest bay to Alanya Castle. Sailing distance is 17 min. Sea bed is mainly rocky. Depth is between 5-35 m. Schools of fish can be observed. This site is most suitable for educational diving.

8-Dilvarda (W)
Dilvarda west is located at the west of the farthest bay to Alanya Castle. Sailing distance is 20 min. Sea bed is mainly rocky. Depth is between 5 to 40 m. this side is suitable for deep-water and current diving. It is also used for educational diving. Underwater life is rich and lively. Schools of fish can also be found.

9-Phosphor Cave
Sailing distance to Alanya Harbour is 20 m. Depth of the location is between 8 to 33 m. There are two cave groups one at 5 m, the other at 12 m. depth. Sea bed is rocky. Underwater life is rich. This site is suitable for both licensed divers and trainees. It also allows night diving.

10-Broken Stone
Sailing distance to Alanya Harbour is 20 min. Depth is 5 to 20 m. Sea bed is rocky. This is an ideal site for daily diving courses. There is a 10 meter long and 2 meter wide cave located at 4 m. depth at the skirts of the mountain. Underwater life is rich. Experienced divers can follow underwater course to Phosphorus cave.

11-Tunnel
Distance to Alanya Harbour is approximately 25 min. It is basically a tunnel, west of the castle, with it's entrance and exit located at 13 m. depth. Width of the tunnel is between 3-6 m. Length of it is about 42 m. Along the tunnel there are small packets (rooms). Underwater life is rich.

12-Rambo
Among the diving sites, Rambo is the farthest location. This, perhaps most popular diving site, is close to Cleopatra Beach. It is approximately 25 min. sailing distance to the harbour. At 13 m. depth, a 6-7 m. long tunnel, which can accommodate 5 divers, leads the way to a cave which is semi-filled with oxygen. Inside the cave there are numerous drop stones. Air vacuum in certain locations can each 10 meters. It resembles Damlataş cave, most famous and popular spot of Alanya. Sea bed is sandy. Also the cave is home to a seal, we call it "Zehra''. If you are having a lucky day you can meet "Zehra'' inside the cave. Divers are required to swim one meter above the surface so that the water does not get blurred.
